Antonietta Ganoung “Toni” 64, of Cortlandville passed away November 6, 2022 at her home after a courageous 9 year battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Castelforte, Italy, Nov 19, 1957, Toni was the daughter of Mario and Assunta Valente Falso who preceded her in death.
Toni was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and a devoted volunteer for many years at St. Mary’s Parochial School. Toni was formerly employed as Assistant Director for NY State DSO in their Fairview Group Home. Toni was known for having the biggest heart and for being a friend to everyone. She loved spending time with her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years; Ronnie at home and a daughter; Sonia Ganoung of Cortland and son; Robert (Heather) Ganoung of Homer; a brother; Phil Falso of Cortland; her grandchildren; Sophia, Alivia, Coltyn, Vito and Koda and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, prayers of committal will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5- 7 p.m. in the Riccardi Funeral Home Chapel 69 N. Main St. Cortland, N.Y.
