The State Office of Addiction Services and Supports, or OASAS has launched a new statewide awareness campaign designed to direct the public to addiction resources to help reduce overdose rates.
The campaign, with a tagline of “Every Step of the Way,” will highlight the OASAS system of prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery support. It will also promote the New York State HOPEline, a phone number to call (877-8-HOPENY) or text at 467369.
The OASAS awareness campaign runs through November with funding provided to the state via the federal State Opioid Response Grant.
New Yorkers struggling with an addiction, or whose loved ones are struggling, can find help and hope by calling the state’s toll-free, 24-hour, 7-day-a-week HOPEline at 1-877-8-HOPENY (1-877-846-7369) or by texting HOPENY.
