The New York State Union of Police Associations (NYSUPA) has announced their endorsement for Mike Sigler in the race for the New York State Senate 52nd district. The NYSUPA is known for advocating for the rights and well being of public safety officers, including sheriffs, corrections, police, and dispatchers.
“It’s an honor to earn this endorsement that represents the support of thousands of uniformed law enforcement professionals across New York,” said Sigler. “They’ve seen what we’ve all seen; that New York isn’t the same place that it used to be. Violent crime is up. Fentanyl and other dangerous drugs are killing people on a daily basis. Meanwhile, out of touch politicians like Lea Webb are prioritizing the wrong policies and just making things worse.”
The 52nd New York State Senate district covers all of Tompkins and Cortland Counties as well as portions of Broome County, including the City of Binghamton. The seat is currently held by Senator Lea Webb, who is running for reelection.
