Governor Cuomo now says the 2021 New York State Fair will run at full capacity and reopen many popular buildings with additional vendors.
Indoor spaces remain subject to limits that allow for safe social distance within each building.
The Fair will run 18 days — from August 20 to September 6 — the longest ever in its history.
Cuomo had previously announced a 50% capacity limit on April 26, but said New Yorkers have made significant progress against COVID-19 since then.
Statewide, the 7-day average positivity is 0.41%, a record low for 17 consecutive days and declining for 70 in a row.
Adult vaccinations have reached 69.9%, just shy of an ultimate goal of 70% that will end most restrictions across the state.
