The official beginning of New York State’s spring trout fishing season will take place starting April 1st.
Anglers will have plenty of chances to enjoy the occasion once the season is officially underway. Hobbyists will enjoy many opportunities to fish thanks to the State Department of Environmental Conservation’s extensive trout stocking program and wild trout fisheries.
Those participating are encouraged to download the official HuntFishNY app. A new feature this year called the Tackle Box has plenty of helpful information including fishing regulations, boat access, and stocking details.
