NY Senator Webb Looking For Nominations of High School Students For NYS Senate Annual Youth Leadership Awards
New York State Senator, Lea Webb (SD-52), is looking for nominations of high school students within the 52nd State Senate District for the State’s annual Youth Leadership Recognition Award program. The program honors outstanding students who will be future leaders. Nominations are due by March 21st.
Senator Webb’s office says both teachers and administrators from schools in the district may nominate current sophomores, juniors, and seniors for the recognition; nominations will only be accepted by a school administrator or educator. The students should not only excel academically, but also in leadership and extracurricular and volunteer activities. Students who are selected for the award will receive a congratulatory personalized certificate from Senator Webb.
“This program highlights the exceptional young leaders in our community who are making a lasting impact in their schools, neighborhoods, and beyond,” said Senator Lea Webb. “It’s inspiring to see the dedication, hard work, and passion these youth bring to everything they do, whether it’s excelling academically, serving others, or leading with purpose. I’m excited to once again participate in this important initiative and honor the remarkable young people of Senate District 52.”
Nominations may be submitted online by going to Webb.NYSenate.Gov. Anyone with questions is asked to either email NYSenateServices@NYSenate.gov or call 518-455-2558.
