The organization NY Farmnet is holding a series of mental health first aid training sessions across the Empire State. The gatherings are meant to help farmers, agribusiness workers and anyone who interacts with the agricultural community if they’re experiencing signs of a mental health crisis. Farmnet’s Jen Schwytzer is part of a team that helps out farmers in these situations, and she spoke with our own Matt Brooks about identifying farmer stress, how her group helps alleviate those problems, and who can attend the free trainings.
