Downed trees forced response from last night on Glen Haven Road and Hewitt & Cold Brook Roads.

Crews also responded to a personal injury accident on I-81 northbound in Cortland County, although no further details are yet available.

A more organized round of scattered severe thunderstorms is expected this afternoon through early evening.

Main threats will be damaging winds, large hail, and frequent lightning.

Locally heavy rainfall is also possible, and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for most of the region until 9 pm.
