Police say a man from Homer took the corner from Grant Street to Harmon Ave in Cortland by driving into the oncoming lane of traffic. Officers say he also had a broken headlight, and was drinking, with several open bottles of alcohol in the vehicle.
Herman Tinker, 58, faces DWI and other charges after Cortland police stopped him Friday night. Tinker was released to return to court a week from Monday.
