Next Round of Restore NY Grant Funding Opens Today – $60 Million Available

Applications are now open for the next round of Restore NY grant funding, Governor Hochul’s Office has announced. The program is administered by Empire State Development and goes towards supporting municipalities efforts in demolishing, rehabilitation, and restoration of what are considered blighted structures and transform them into residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

“Restore New York gives municipalities the support they need to create real change in their communities. By removing or rehabilitating eyesores that bring down a neighborhood, municipalities have opportunity to revitalize their community and generate new economic opportunities.” Empire State Development President, CEO and Commissioner Hope Knight said.

The Governor’s Office says there will be an emphasis on projects that are in an economically distressed community, and/or projects that leverage other state or federal redevelopment funds along with the project’s feasibility and readiness.
