New York’s Retirement Fund Is Third Strongest In The Entire Country

The New York State Common Retirement Fund grew stronger over the past fiscal year, ending with a total funded status of 98 percent.

According to State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, New York State’s pension fund is valued at $207.4 billion, the third largest pension fund in the United States.

The New York State and Local Retirement Systems have provided over a million members, retirees and their families with financial security and peace of mind for their retirement.
