The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets announced Monday that the Dairy Promotion Order (DPO) advisory board has requested applications for research and marketing projects as part of its $16 Million checkoff fund.

The DPO board is requesting proposals that look to increase consumer demand of dairy products, as well as projects that will help increase the consumption, promotion, and development of New York milk and dairy. The board is also open to new marketing strategies, specifically promotions that target a Gen Z audience. Eligible applicants range from non-profit entities, to research institutions, and unaffiliated private businesses.

Applications are due by August 20th. Funding will come directly from New York State dairy producers through the New York State Dairy Promotion Order Act intended to help dairy farmers and processors reach further into domestic and international markets. For more information, click HERE.
