The New York State Police Troop “C” (which covers Cortland County) held their Memorial Day Service to honor the members who lost their lives in the line of duty and to recognize the heavy price paid for the freedoms everyone enjoys.
The service was led by Troop “C” Commander, Major Jeffery VanAuken. To date 140 members of the New York State Police have lost their lives in the line of duty with 17 of those Members serving Troop”C”.
