New York Governor Encourages All Eligible Voters to Register For Upcoming Election

In a statement released on Monday, Governor Hochul encouraged all eligible voters in New York to register as part of the upcoming National Voter Registration Day.

New Yorkers can register to vote online in-person, or by mail. To vote in the upcoming election, you must be registered to vote by October 26th. Election Day is on November 5th, with  early voting available from October 26th through November 3rd.

“National Voter Registration Day is an important opportunity to foster engagement in our democracy,” said Hochul. “Our democratic institutions are only as strong as the voters who participate in them, and I encourage every eligible New Yorker to make their voice heard.”

Hochul also reminded New Yorkers that their state and county election officials are trusted sources of election information in the state. New Yorkers can also follow the State Board of Elections on social media for important information regarding the elections.
