A new working group created by Gov. Andrew Cuomo will review the state’s alcoholic beverage control laws to determine if any changes should be made to modernize the regulations.
The members of the panel include representatives from the craft beverage industry and state agencies.
The working group will examine a range of issues, including removing outdated and redundant provisions in the state’s alcoholic beverage control laws and modernizing statutory language for clarity.
The panel will also look at ways to reduce paperwork and eliminate unnecessary restrictions on producers.
