New Mega-Network Formed to Transform Rural Behavioral Health Across New York

In a major development for healthcare across the region, two key alliances, Integrity Partners for Behavioral Health IPA and the South Central Behavioral Health Network have officially merged. Operating under the new name Integrity Partners for Behavioral Health IPA, the unified organization now stands as New York State’s largest rural behavioral health network, promising expanded access and coordinated care for communities spanning Western, Finger Lakes, Central, and South Central New York.

The newly formed entity boasts an impressive reach, uniting 46 independent providers to serve over 100,000 clients across 34 rural counties, which represents 77% of all rural counties in the state. The move is designed to create a powerful, cohesive voice for rural behavioral health, strengthening the integration of essential services across primary care, mental health, and social care providers, which often operate in isolation.

A core component of the merger is the adoption of Integrity Partners’ advanced statewide data and analytics infrastructure. This secure platform, which will encompass data on 150,000 individuals, is described as a “game-changer” for local providers. Leadership from both original networks emphasized the benefit to rural residents noting the merger combines “community-based wisdom with advanced data analytics,” ensuring rural New Yorkers receive the best care and representation in state policymaking.
