New Fire Engine set for Delivery in Homer (photos)

Local News

The Homer Village Board of Trustees met last night (March 10) and made the final approvals on purchasing a brand-new fire engine, which just came off the assembly line last week.

Senator James Seward visited Homer Fire Department in October 2018 to announce $150k in state grants he secured to help pay for the truck.

It’s currently finishing up inspection at 4-Guys Fire Apparatus on Route 90 in Locke and is set to be delivered this Saturday (March 14).

Driver training will then commence, with the new rig expected to be officially ready for service in about two weeks.
