New Executive Director For Office For Aging Announced

A new Executive Director for the Cortland County Office for Aging was appointed by the Cortland County Legislature during their monthly meeting. The appointment of a new director comes after the resignation of Dr. Pearl Reed-Klein. Dr. Reed-Klein had served as Executive Director since January 2023.

The new Executive Director will be Amber Giamei. The announcement comes after an interview committee was formed that conducted several interviews with possible candidates and subsequently made the recommendation to the legislature.

Giamei will begin the role as Executive Director for the Office for Aging immediately with their first day on April 25th and have an annual salary of $105,324. She has worked with the county with the Office for Aging for about 15 years with members of the Legislature expressing their excitement on her new role as Executive Director for the agency.
