A new art gallery will open at the Crescent Commons located at 165 Main St in the City of Cortland.

There will be a special opening planned for Friday, September 23rd from 6pm to 10pm. Afterwards, the regular hours for the art gallery will be on Friday and Saturdays from 12-5pm.

Paul Kozlowski, a Cortland native, will be opening the gallery, named the Ake Gallery. Paul says the mission for the gallery is to “take the stiffness out of the art gallery experience and offer affordable, fun fine art and to encourage and promote the many talented artists living in the area.”

A well known man in LA, Paul opened the famous Fake Gallery, an underground LA hotspot that hosted Patton Oswalt and Maria Bamford. Returning to Cortland Paul looks towards bringing art to the Cortland Community.

You can visit Paul’s website AkeGallery.com to learn more about his artwork.
