With the sunny and dry weather the National Weather Service in Binghamton, NY is reminding New Yorkers of the elevated risk of wildfire spreading once again within Central New York.
The combination of relative humidity values dropping to between 15% and 30% throughout the day, wind gusts of up to 15 mph, and sunny dry days will increase the risk of how a wildfire can spread.
They remind you that the statewide burn ban is in effect until May 14 with no burn permits being issued.
