National Weather Service Issues Winter Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service (NWS) at Binghamton has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area until 1pm tomorrow, December 11th. The effect is for Cortland, Chenango and Broome Counties.

The NSW says 3 to 7 inches of snow is expected with gusty winds, possibly reaching 35 mph. Traveling may prove to be very difficult, the NSW says with hazardous conditions impacting tomorrow morning’s commute.

Rain will begin to changeover to snowfall this evening, snowfall rates could reach 1 inch per hour into Monday morning.
