The US National Weather Service at Binghamton is holding a Winter Skywarn Training tonight, October 20th from 6:30 to 8:30pm in Cortland at the Cortland County Regional Training Center at 3557 Terrace Rd, Cortland.
The National Weather Service is recruiting new spotters for the Cortland County area. Spotters will provide the NWS with “ground truth” on what is going on in their area to help the NWS produce better forecasts.
There will also be a virtual training session on Monday, October 24th at the same time.
