This has now expired.
Were in the worst of it now.
Every county in Central New York and Northeast Pennsylvania did have a wind chill warning, but the National Weather Service has cancelled it. A Wind Chill Advisory is now in effect until 11am tomorrow.
The Weather Service says temperatures this low will still feel as low as 20 below zero tomorrow, causing frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Hypothermia or even death can occur if people do not properly protect themselves.
Do your best to stay inside if at all possible and if you do have to go out, make sure you’re covering yourself head-to-toe with layers of warmth and insulation.
Temperatures are expected in the 30s and up by this Saturday.
