Today is National Philanthropy day and the Cortland Community Foundation is again offering to all Cortland County charitable organizations a chance to win a prize in one of two categories the foundation offers.
The Cortland Community Foundation has raised over $2.9 million dollars since its inception back in 2012 and local nonprofit organizations have received over $2 million in funding.
The two prizes a charitable organization has a chance to win at are:
Highest Total Dollar Amount Raised:
- 1st: $10,000
- 2nd: $4,500
- 3rd: $2,000
- 4th: $1,000
Most Individual Donations Received:
- 1st: $7,000
- 2nd: $3,000
- 3rd: $1,500
- 4th: $1,000

Last year, the foundation raised over $440,000 thousand dollars.
