National Grid is encouraging their customers to make energy efficient decisions a priority for the summer season this year.
With temperatures rising and the official start of summer next week National Grid is giving tips for no-cost and low-cost methods of being able to stay comfortable while also reducing energy consumption costs.
National Grid Recommends the following tips before it gets too hot:
–Have your AC checked for maximum efficiency
–Replace your air filters to bring in air flow
–Vacuum air intake vents and keep them clear
–Replace incandescent light bulbs with LED
–Consider installing a programmable thermostat or smart thermostat
Energy bills are expected to be higher this year than last due to increased demand.
