National Grid Cites Transmission Line Fault For Power Flicker Across Central New York
Two brief power flickers were reported Wednesday evening in Cayuga, Cortland, Oneida, Onondaga, and Oswego counties.
According to social media reports by customers of National Grid, the outages occurred around 8:10 p.m. and 9:10 p.m., lasting only a few seconds across Central New York.
A spokesperson for National Grid told X101 News that crews are investigating a fault on a transmission line serving the region. The company believes the issue has been isolated, allowing repair work to begin.
National Grid says the system is now operating normally, and there are no current outages related to the incident.
