National Council of Teachers of English Recognizes Homer Schools Student Literary Magazine

The Homer Central School District has announced that the district’s student literary magazine, The Ionian, was recently recognized by the National Council of Teachers of English. The recognition was a distinguished designation in their annual Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines program.

The honor is awarded to outstanding student literary magazines throughout the country. The National Council of Teachers of English is an organization dedicated to improving the teaching and learning of English and the language arts at all levels of education. The organization was established over 100 years ago.
