The trial for Randy Wilkinson was to resume this morning before Cortland County Court Judge William Ames.
Wilkinson was indicted in January 2015 for fatally stabbing a man from Syracuse, Terry Walker, early on December 20, 2014.
Police say the fatal attack followed an argument at Wilkinson’s Northcliffe Road home in Cortland.
In his opening statement to the jury Thursday afternoon, Cortland County Public Defender Keith Dayton told jurors he would show that this case is about “Randy Wilkinson struggling for his life” and said Walker had quote: “Terrorized Wilkinson for years.”
The first testimony came from the county’s 911 director, Scott Roman.
Wilkinson’s aunt was the second witness. She called 911 to report the death.
