The holiday season is in full swing and the list of holiday events planned for later this evening will bring in the holiday spirit for all.
The City of Cortland will be holding their first ever “Visions of Christmas” tonight at Courthouse park, beginning at 6pm. A tree lighting will take place, including a visit from Santa at the Fire Department on Court Street. Cookies, cocoa and crafts will be available. All children will receive an ornament they can decorate that will be placed on the tree once complete.
This event is sponsored by Visions Federal Credit Union with special thanks to the City of Cortland Fire Dept. and City of Cortland Public Works.
For the Village of Homer, the annual Light of My Life will take place on the Homer Village green with holiday music starting at 6pm and the countdown at 6:30pm. The Homer Congregation Church choir will have live music during the event. Those attending will be able to see Santa near the firetruck, with the Grinch possibly visiting too. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided by the Homer Recreation Department.
