Multiple Crashes Snarl I-81 Traffic in Cortland County Wednesday Morning
Overnight snowfall and colder temperatures left roadways slick across Cortland County on Wednesday morning, prompting all school districts in the county to announce delays.

According to State Police, troopers responded to several crashes near Exit 50 (McGraw/Polkville) along Interstate 81.
The crashes led to the temporary shutdown of northbound traffic on the highway. Interstate 81 has since reopened to at least one lane of travel. No injuries have been reported.
Drivers are reminded to use extra caution, reduce their speed, and allow extra time when traveling in winter conditions.
