Multiple blood drives in November to help with Red Cross shortage

With Thanksgiving and the holidays approaching, the American Red Cross urges donors to help overcome an ongoing emergency blood and platelet shortage.



The current supply is the lowest the Red Cross has seen this time of year in more than a decade.

Multiple blood drives are planned next month in Cortland County, including:

11/1/2021: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. at SUNY Cortland, Neubig Road

11/4/2021: 12:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Cortlandville Fire Department, 999 State Route 13

11/9/2021: 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Cincinnatus High School

11/13/2021: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at St Mary’s Church, 44 North Main St

11/15/2021: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at CNY Living History Museum, 4386 US Route 11

11/23/2021: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Cortland YMCA, 22 Tompkins Street
