It will be the 22nd anniversary of the September 11th attacks and both the City of Cortland and the Village of Homer, among many other municipalities, will be holding a 9/11 remembrance ceremony.

The memorial ceremony in the City of Cortland will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Courthouse Park. Church street will be closed to traffic between Port Watson and Central Ave. during the ceremony.

For the Village of Homer, the ceremony will take place at 6pm at the memorial next to the Homer Fire Department. Guest speaker during the ceremony will be the Homer Fire Chief, Jay Riley. Chief Riley will speak on his memories as an intermediate school student back on September 11th, 2001.
