Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies report that a man from Cortland was arrested for felony DWI after trying to outrun police on motorcycle and foot Saturday evening.
Daniel Henry, who is 50, was charged with a felony because of a previous conviction, and also faces unlawful fleeing police and multiple traffic citations.
Sheriff’s officers tried to stop Henry for speeding on the motorcycle on Route 13 in the City of Cortland at 6:30 pm Saturday.
Officers say Henry took off at 25 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
Henry was then taken into custody after he dumped his motorcycle on Ames Road in Cortlandville and tried to run away.
He was arraigned in Cortlandville Court at 7:15 am Sunday.
