Mother and Daughter Charged After Shoplifting at Cortlandville K-Mart

A mother and daughter have been charged with shoplifting at the Cortlandville K-Mart store.

On Tuesday, Cortland County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the store on Route 13 for a larceny complaint.

Store security stopped 41-year-old Cindy Williams and her 19-year-old daughter Holly Williams, both of South Ave., Cortland. They say the women were attempting to steal clothing. Holly Williams 1-year-old child was with them at the time.

Both were charged with petite larceny, conspiracy and endangering the welfare of a child; all misdemeanors.

The women were issued tickets and released. The child was not harmed during this incident.
