More Shoplifters Arrested at Walmart by Sheriff

There were more arrests at Walmart on Bennie Road in the Town of Cortlandville last week as officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the store for shoplifting complaints.



On January 2nd, officers responded to Walmart just before 9pm for a larceny complaint. An investigation found 30 year old Timothy D. Doyle of Cortland, has stolen merchandise from the store. He was charged with Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. Doyle was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and was later released on an appearance ticket. He is due in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.


On Saturday, January 6th, around 3:30 in the afternoon, officers again responded to the store for a larceny complaint. The investigation found 24 year old Emily M. Toti of Moravia, had stolen merchandise from the store. Toti was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. She was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and later released on an appearance ticket. She is due in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
