More Severe Weather Possible This Afternoon in Central New York
The National Weather Service in Binghamton (NWS) says the severe weather threat for the Central New York area will continue today. The NWS says storms are expected to hit the area between 2 and 8pm this afternoon. Primary threats include damaging winds and heavy rainfall.

The NWS has not ruled out the possibility of hail and/or isolated tornadoes. Currently, the region is at a level 2 for local risk meaning scattered severe storms are possible. This is the same category issued on Monday.
Thankfully though, Wednesday’s forecast still sees forecasts for storms, but are at a level 1, marginal risk.
