More Larceny Arrests at Cortlandville Walmart

Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office have made two additional arrests after larceny complaints were called in at the Walmart in the Town of Cortlandville. The reported larcenies took place on Saturday, April 20th and on Sunday, April 21st.



Just after 6pm on Saturday, April 20th, officers with the Sheriff’s Office responded to the store for a reported larceny. During the investigation it was found 44 year old Jeremy C. Peterson of Whitney Point, had stolen from the store.

Peterson was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. He was taken to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and was later released with an appearance ticket. Peterson is due in Cortlandville Town Court next week.


Then again on Sunday, around 5:45 in the afternoon, officers returned to the store for another larceny complaint. That investigation found 56 year old Jessie J. Miller of Cortlandville had stolen merchandise from the store.

Miller was also arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. He was taken to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and later released. Miller is due in Cortlandville Town Court next month.
