Christmas is less than 75 days away and the Village of Homer plans to add even more holiday lighting and decorations on Main Street this year.
Lights will be added to the front of Homer American Legion, Center for the Arts, Homer Recreation Building, and for the Fire Department, garland will be added as the lights would be too heavy for the building itself.
However, plans for holiday lights along Route 281 in the village have not been forgotten. The grant was originally approved for lights along 281, but due to time constraints on the application and the needed approval for lights to be powered on 281, the village made the decision to switch the grant to Main Street instead.
