Missing Emu’s Owner Found Say State Police

The New York State Police this morning announced they had found the owner of the missing Emu.

A tip came in the State Police’s Facebook Page that it’s owners in Smithville had lost their Emu.

The Emu was found in Willet.

Troopers say they’re curious as to how it went such a long way from Smithville to Willet. It’s about an 11 mile journey.


The New York State Police are looking for the owner of an emu that was found in the Town of Willet on Friday afternoon. Troopers say they were able to capture the animal with assistance from a local farmer.

 

Anyone who knows the owner of the emu is asked to contact State Police at 607-561-7400. State Police believe the emu is from the Cortland County area.
