Vehicle hits CRT Downtown on Port Watson

No one was injured during an accident this morning that caused significant property damage to the Cortland Repertory Theater Downtown on Port Watson Street, which reportedly began when a westbound SUV cut off a tractor trailer approaching Tompkins Street.

City Police Lt. Dave Guerrera said the crash occurred around 8:30 this morning. Traffic in the area was brought down to just one lane for some time, but has since been full reopened.

CRT Producing Artistic Director Kerby Thompson says no staff were in the building at the time.

At this time, nobody involved has been identified and no charges have been released, but the accident remains under investigation.
