Milling to Begin for City of Cortland Department of Public Works Next Week

The City of Cortland Department of Public Works has announced the tentative start date for road milling in the City of Cortland for this year’s roadwork.



Milling will begin this coming Monday, May 22nd on Woodland Ave. and Circle Drive. This will then be followed by Cleveland Street on Tuesday and then East Garfield, East Franklin, and East Ave. on Wednesday, May 24th.

Prospect Terrace between Graham Ave. and Tompkins is expected to occur on Thursday, with then the following Tuesday (May 30th) Argyle and Union St. before wrapping up the next day on Joseph Street.

Public Works notes they hope to also do curb work, but are waiting on bids to come in still. It is also noted this will be the first wave of milling in the City of Cortland, the second will happen in late summer with a date not yet set.
