After a huge milk distribution in Tully a couple weeks ago, the American Dairy Association North East (ADANE) is returning for another regional milk and food distribution next week – this time in Fabius on Tuesday, the 30th.
The drive will be held at Fabius-Pompey Elementary School on Tuesday beginning at 3 pm, where some 4k gallons of milk and 25k pounds of meat and produce from Food Bank of CNY will be distributed.
To ensure the safety and health of all involved, the distribution will be run via drive- thru format.
All drivers and passengers must remain in their vehicles and will be prompted to open their trunk to receive milk and other available products.
If cars do not have a trunk, they will be prompted to open their window. Walk-ups will not be permitted. There will be a two gallon limit on milk and one box limit on food for each family.
No registration or paperwork is required for this distribution.
This and other similar distribution events are being made possible by government-funded grants through the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program, helping food banks and community organizations provide to those in need.
ADANE plans to help distribute over 200k gallons of milk during June produced by local dairy farmers.
