Midnight on Main Tonight For New Year’s Celebrations

Tonight is the night people across the globe celebrate the New Year and for Cortland, residents can celebrate on Main Street in Downtown Cortland during the city’s annual Midnight on Main event which begins at 9pm.

Starting at 9pm, Main Street will be closed to vehicles between Court and the Port Watson & Tompkins Street intersection. The festivities will include two food trucks from Smash Me 607 & Pig Vicious and music from local DJ, Brett Barnes.

Around 11:30pm, Cortland Police will close down the intersection of Port Watson Tompkins and Main Street for spectators to see the ball drop for 2025 at the Clocktower Building. After ringing in the New Year, a firework show will take place courtesy of a generous donation by the McNeil & Company.
