Memorial Day crackdown nets 203 DWI’s statewide

State Troopers arrested more than 200 people across New York for drunk driving over the Memorial Day Weekend, 16 of which were in Central New York.

The region had more than 1,150 tickets in total, including 436 for speeding, 31 for distracted driving and 61 for child restraint/seat belt violations, along with 5 move over .

That enforcement effort ran Friday through 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
