An expansion in the Medicare Savings Program will allow beneficiaries in the Empire State to apply for $7300 in financial assistance annually.
With the new increases on Program eligibility income limits now official based on federal poverty levels, income-eligible beneficiaries are being told to apply. Those limits are $2,280 for an individual and $3,077 for a couple.
Those eligible can find an application on the New York State Department of Health’s website.
