McGraw Man Charged With Criminal Contempt

Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance on McGraw North Road in Cortlandville around 5:15 on Monday, February 12th. An investigation by officers found 43 Michael J. Eaton of McGraw, had violated a full stay away order of protection.

The Sheriff’s Office says Eaton violated the order by contacting the protected parties on two separate occasions in February. Officers charged Eaton with 2 counts of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd, a Misdemeanor. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing.

The following day Eaton was arraigned via the Centralized Arraignment Process and released on his own recognizance. He is due in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
