Election Day takes place next Tuesday as many local races begin to wind down, including the race for City of Cortland Mayor.
Republican and incumbent Mayor Scott Steve is vying for the seat against Democrat-endorsed challenger Luke Stevenson. In part three of our series this week examining each candidate, Steve says property development is one of the biggest issues facing the City of Cortland, but adds positive developments are being made.
Other issues Steve highlighted included housing and the ongoing construction on Main Street.
As for Stevenson, when asked by X101 what he feels are the biggest issues facing the City of Cortland, he had this to say.
Stevenson adds that other challenges in the City of Cortland include food deserts as well as Main Street construction.
