October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Cortland County Health Department is doing their part to raise awareness.
In 2023, its estimated about 297,000 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Precautions can be taken to prevent this outcome through measures such as mammograms and screenings. In an interview with X101’s Matt Brooks, Public Health Educator with the Cortland County Health Department Courtney Maxson discusses steps to prevent breast cancer and other topics.
