A Marathon man was recently arrested in the state of Georgia and extradited back to Cortland County, where he faces charges related to a domestic incident that occurred on August 29 in the town of Cuyler.
Investigators with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to that initial dispute and found 37-year-old Michael Natale had already left the residence where it occurred. Charges were then filed for the incident and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On September 6, Natale was picked up by authorities in Tifton, GA, who stopped him for vehicle and traffic violations and soon discovered his active warrant.
He was then held as a Fugitive of Justice and required to first answer his violations in Georgia.
Once that process was complete, members of the Cortland Sheriff’s Office travelled to Georgia and picked up Natale on Thursday (October 11), according to Lt. Todd Caufield in the Criminal Investigation Division.
He was then brought back and arraigned in Cuyler Town Court the following day, before being remanded to the Cortland County Jail on $5,000 cash/$10,000 bond.
His next scheduled court date is November 4, where his charges include two felonies and two misdemeanors.
