The Cortland County Sheriff’s Department made an arrest Friday in connection with a burglary last month from a residence on Ellwood Road in the town of Taylor.
Investigators say jewelry, tools, firearms, ammunition and musical equipment were reported stolen, which they believe happened between the evening hours of March 22nd to the early morning hours of March 25
Taken into custody Friday was 32-year-old Jared O’Neill, of Turner Hill Road, who was already being held at the Cortland County Jail on unrelated matters at the time of his arrest.
Among his charges, O’Neill was hit with three felonies including 2nd degree burglary, 3rd degree Grand Larceny and 3rd degree Weapon Possession, along with a general business law violation for Private Sale or Disposal of Firearms, Rifles and Shotguns.
